1994年生於臺灣新竹。畢業於國立臺北藝術大學美術系碩士班，以繪畫為主修。
曾以交換生身份前往德國斯徒加特的梅爾茲媒體藝術學院，修習影像媒體專業，創作中關注於媒體塑造性別，並以身體變形、虛構、扮裝等項目作為焦點，2022年個展「善的意志會狩獵」，透過無軀體的陰性人像繪畫，透過符號與圖像學及其身後的影像互文作為主語。
從2016年開始繪畫與影像的創作，過往獨立出版過數本小誌，以2018年發行的政治諷刺書《金金大型超市》（Duckcrow Hypermarket） 戲仿超市型錄為代表作，曾參與上海、東京、臺北及紐約等國際藝術書展，並由紐約獨立書店Printed Matter為其撰寫書評。2022年以7年間製作的T恤圖案發行《芭芭瑞恩：T恤目錄》，及其副本《歌本蟹根》，並以旅居異地、網路間片語的攝影以及拾得物，發行名為《沮喪購物車》的敘事小冊，2022年於瑞士Wartsaal Wipkingen空間首次展出。並曾以動態影像作品《愛你的時間》參與書寫公廠（TW）和RRD（MX）策劃的「太平洋海盜」展覽，2019年於關渡美術館展出。

WEN Chia-Ning
WEN Chia-Ning specialized in painting, audio-visual, visual design and interactive installations. As a creator of the visual arts field, she remains highly sensitive to political and gender issues. In particular, her observation focuses on how the media manipulates public ideology and transmits messages through the use of visual images.
She uses the image as a tool for self-introspection and outlets, interweaving inner spirituality, the world, and the internet, with absurdity as an inevitable adornment to the process of making the work. She is concerned with the way in which mass media portrays characters, particularly in relation to the narrowing of gender roles.

關於個展「善的意志會狩獵」（2022）
以論述作為創作中的多重對話，受到眼前媒體中躁動的影像吸引，我拾起它們進行描繪，在行旅中又受到地上垃圾紙片的引誘，我停下忙碌的雙手，梳理這些同時使我慾望使我困擾的層疊的資訊。善意若能主動狩獵，相比受困於現實對於性別的惡意期待，我想透過創作作為一種善意的提醒，藉由那些性別模糊、使人困惑的畫中人物，將身體形象與性別邊界的不同想像，以一種踰越而輕鬆的攻擊性，投向主流價值的視野之中。
Solo Exhibitions: Good Will Hunting (2022)
As I am constantly attracted by restless images in front of my eyes, I pick them up and paint them; lured by garbage paper fragments on the ground, I stop my busy hands to sort out the layered information that arouses and troubles me at the same time. If a gesture of good will could take the initiative to hunt, then I would like to spread them through artistic creation. By means of those gender-ambiguous and deliberately confusing characters in the paintings, paired with a transgressive yet carefree aggressiveness, I project alternative ideas of body image and gender boundary into the mainstream vision.
