夏本度．德（Sharbendu De）為當代以影像為核心的藝術家、教育者與寫作者，長期投入於氣候與生態論述、原住民敘事以及多物種生態研究，並特別關注東喜馬拉雅地區。他以概念性攝影見長，其作品因具有鮮明的象徵風格，常被形容為「電影式定格畫面（cinematic stills）」與「場景式構圖（tableaus）」。

夏本度．德De 於 2010 年取得英國倫敦西敏大學（University of Westminster）攝影新聞碩士學位。過去 15 年間，他於印度多所大學與文化機構教授攝影與視覺傳播課程。他深信社群建立的重要性，並於 2023 年創立線上氣候教育計畫「解碼人類世（Decoding Anthropocene）」，以支持南亞地區致力於氣候與生態敘事的視覺創作者。

Sharbendu De is a contemporary lens-based artist, educator and a writer, deeply invested in the climate and ecological discourse, indigenous narratives and multispecies ecologies with a particular interest in the Eastern Himalayas. His conceptual approach to photography has been called ‘cinematic stills’ and ‘tableaus’ for their emblematic style.

De has an MA in Photojournalism from the University of Westminster, London (2010). Over the last 15 years, he has taught photography and visual communications across universities and cultural institutions in India. A firm believer of community building, in 2023, he founded an online climate education program titled Decoding Anthropocene to support South Asian visual storytellers working on climate and ecological storytelling. After two decades of living in Delhi, in 2023, he relocated to Sikkim in the Eastern Himalayas.
