蔡昱廷|Yu-Ting Tsai

蔡昱廷(b.1999,彰化),畢業於臺北藝術大學新媒體藝術碩士,居住與工作於台北。

創作語彙多結合自然、科技、歷史等不同知識領域。媒材跨及裝置、錄像、與攝影。目前創作源自於生命經驗、精神、地方、歷史的挖掘與辨認,著重於身體感、技術介入與個體多重主體性的形塑過程,拓墣學的觀點觀看個體,思路在穿梭不同的系統、座標,交織出共通點位置,再相性不同的歷程中觀看經驗在個體作用的狀態。

重要個展包括,關渡美術館《 不眠山 》 (2024) 、洪建全基金會《 家後 》 (2025) 、彰化縣立美術館 (2025)、金馬賓館當代美術館。

作品曾放映與聯展於國際性的藝術機構與影展,國立臺灣美術館「2025 臺灣美術雙年展 − 黑水」、「The Wrong Biennale」、西班牙「Festival Proyector 2024」、西班牙 - 莫夕亞砲兵營文化中心 「2025 Ecos de Taiwán」、美國「垂直視覺國際電影節」、南韓「CICA Museum」、法國「巴黎/柏林國際會議、新電影與當代藝術」、奧地利「2025 林茲電子藝術節」、泰國、立陶宛等地。
 

Yu-Ting Tsai (b.1999, Changhua, Taiwan) is an artist who lives and works in Taipei, he holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and master's degree in New Media Art at TNUA. 

The vocabulary words used in the work consists of various fields of knowledge, such as nature, technology, and history to construct a multi-perspective viewing. The mediums include installations, videos, and photographs. The core of the work stems from life experiences, exploring and identifying self, spirits, places, and histories. The individual is viewed from a topological perspective, and the ideas are generated by navigating through different systems and coordinates to interweave a common location in points.

Tsai has had solo exhibitions such as, Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts  “Seeking for Absent Forms in Forests“ (2024), Hong Foundation Art “Ke-āu” (2025), Changhua County Art Museum (2025), ALIEN Art Center.

His works also presented in group shows such as National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts  “2025 Taiwan Art Biennial Black Water, The Wrong Biennale, Spain Festival PROYECTOR 2024, Spain Cuartel de Artillería - 2025 Ecos de Taiwán, the United States Annual Vertical Vision International Film Festival (VVIFF) (2024), South Korea CICA Museum (2025), Austria Ars Electronica Festival (2025), Taiwan Taoyuan Art Center - TMoFA 2025 Taoyuan International Art Award, Thailand, France, Lithuania etc.
