陳柏源|Chen Po-Yuan

陳柏源(b.1994,台灣)來自於高雄,目前就讀於國立臺灣藝術大學書畫藝術系博士班,曾獲磺溪獎、高雄獎優選、新貌獎評審團獎、鴻梅新人獎等。曾參與巴黎、上海及台灣等地之藝博和展覽策劃。從小因父親工作之故移居印度和泰國長達十餘年,其間來來回回台灣與外地,藝術創作的文化養成也從三地間學習並逐漸展開。陳柏源近期研究虛擬數位與當代水墨之間的議題,針對水墨領域的裝置結合與聲音間的呈現,拓展在當代藝術中水墨系譜與版圖的延伸。

從現代交通工具搭機移動史,以颱風形態書寫水墨自然觀,利用類似氣象局之颱風動態模擬圖,切換靜動態介面呈現水墨視覺場。颱風生成一直是台灣島嶼型氣候所面對的議題,其刮風暴雨的特性是浸潤在人民的身體記憶當中。藝術能不能用自己的方式去書寫天氣?一種當代的水墨觀或許能去鋪成遠遊移動與當代科技在面對人造自然時的現象與狀態。

Po Yuan, CHEN (b.1994, Taiwan) is from Kaohsiung and is currently studying in the doctoral program of the Department of Painting and Calligraphy at the National Taiwan University of Arts. He has won the HuangSi Award, Kaohsiung Excellent Award , Taiwan Emerging Artists Award’s Jury Prize and the Grandview Emerging Artists Award. He has participated in art fairs and salon exhibitions in Paris, Shanghai and Taiwan. From childhood, he moved to India and Thailand for more than ten years because of his father's work. During this period, he went back and forth between Taiwan and other places, and the cultural development of an artist’s view was gradually developed from these three places. Po’s  recent studies are the issue between virtual-digital and contemporary ink painting. He aims at the combination of installations in the field of ink painting and the presence of sound, and expanding the extension of ink painting genealogy and territory in contemporary art.

From the history of modern transportation by plane, the ink painting’s view of nature is written in the form of a typhoon. The looping simulation map similar to the Meteorological Bureau is used to switch the static and dynamic interface to present the ink painting’s visual field. Typhoons have always been an issue faced by Taiwan-typed climate, and its wind and rain are infiltrated in people's physical memory. Can art write weather in its own way? A contemporary view of ink painting may be able to pave the way for the phenomenon of this context with the fact that we are facing our technologies in the face of artificial nature.
