蔡宇貞｜Tsai Yu-Chen
2000年生於台灣，高雄，目前就讀於高雄師範大學美術學系碩士班，創作隨著觀看視角的變動，也在創作當中成長，發展出變動視角下的靜物，用「收藏」的概念，將不及於現實生活中的物件，轉換到畫作中，自己用畫下來的方式收藏。多視點，在畫面上是一種挑戰，持續的挑戰創作形式上的突破，恣意編排自己的獨特美學，尋覓規則例外的美麗，想像各個物件被觀看的角度，不穩定卻又穩定，這樣呈現的美學，像是錯置，營造出一種視覺的「平衡」。
曾獲2024台南新藝獎、2023洄瀾美展（決審中）、2023大墩美展入選、2023雲林藝術獎入選、2022 屏東獎入選。

作品介紹
想像各個物件被觀看的角度，想像自己身處空間中所觀看的畫面，進而感受到暖陽、微風甚至是氣味感受，植物在空間中是什麼樣的樣貌，什麼樣的生長型態，動物靈動的穿梭，風的流動。充分滿足視覺感受而做出的創作，我隨心的作畫，從一個物件畫起，繼續往下畫，將空間畫滿為止，甚至不太去修改畫中物件的比例，添加獨特的「實際感受」在這些描繪對象中，靜物與視角貌似隨機的排列組合營造出一種視覺的「平衡」，形成一種直覺式的創作，表現出繪畫純粹美的樣貌。

這次展出的作品有室內靜物與戶外靜物風格，根據展覽的場域分別是兩種不同調性，在選擇展出的創作中，根據場域做出區別。
創作畫面作為一種介面的形式，經由自身形成對物的視覺篩選器，以「收藏」的概念，將生活中所不及之物，畫下來的方式收藏，三維度的構圖方式，色層沉靜厚實的堆疊手法，似乎空間中所欲儲存下那一抹與現實雷同的空間與時間，不穩定又穩定，表現宇貞式的觀看法，隨著視點變動，也在創作當中成長，發展出變動視角下的靜物。
Tsai Yu-Chen
Tsai, Yu Chen born in 2000 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, currently pursuing a master’s degree in fine arts at National Kaohsiung Normal University. Tsai’s artistic journey revolves around the Changeability of perspectives, as she explore and grow through her creative process. She have developed a unique approach to capturing still life from varying angles, using the concept of "collecting" to transform unattainable objects from daily life into cherished subjects within my artwork. Embracing multiple viewpoints presents a continuous challenge in Tsai’s compositions, pushing her to break free from conventional forms and curate her own distinctive aesthetics. She seek to discover the extraordinary beauty in rule-breaking, imagining the various angles from which objects can be observed. The resulting aesthetic is both unstable and balanced, creating a visual harmony that feels pleasantly displaced.
Tsai,Yu Chen have been honored with accolades such as the 2024 Next Art Tainan Award, pending final judging for the 2023 Huilan Art Exhibition, selection for the 2023 Dadun Fine Art Exhibition, selection for the 2023 Yunlin Art Award, and selection for the 2022 Pingtung Award.

Tsai, Yu Chen imagine the varying perspectives from which each object can be viewed, envisioning the scenes she would observe if she were present in the space. She seek to evoke sensations of warm sunlight, gentle breezes, and even olfactory experiences. Tsai explore the appearance of plants within a space, their growth patterns, the agile movements of animals, and the flow of the wind. Her creations are driven by a desire to fully satisfy the visual senses. She paint intuitively, starting with one object and continuing to paint downwards, filling the space until it is complete. She intentionally refrain from extensively modifying the proportions of the objects in the painting, instead infusing them with unique "sensations of reality." The seemingly random arrangement of still life objects and perspectives creates a visual "balance," resulting in an intuitive style of creation that embodies the pure beauty of painting.
