簡永彬|CHIEN Yun-Ping

1958年生於基隆,淡江大學東方語文學系畢業,日本大學藝術研究所專題研究兩年修了。曾任新聞局光華雜誌專任攝影、大地地理雜誌社攝影主編。1988年,創立「夏門攝影藝廊」,陸續展出前輩攝影家鄧南光、張才、林壽鎰等作品。1998年, 建構「夏門攝影企劃研究室」,積極彙究及數位典藏具代表性台灣攝影家的作品, 並促進展覽與出版。2013年, 以「意象.台灣」資料庫的自創品牌,獲選國家文化藝術基金會「藝文社會企業創新育成扶植計畫」的補助團隊,持續梳理台灣攝影文化的精髓至今。2017年,獲聘國立台北科技大學文化發展系兼任副教授至今,以「後數位. 新古典」的概念, 對巨大當代攝影藝術的發展,提出一條更具文學性觀看的路徑,並專志於古典攝影工藝的教學與創作。

Born in Keelung, Taiwan, 1958, Chien graduated from the Department of Japanese in Tamkang University and studied in graduate school of arts in Japan. He has been several magazine publisher’s photographer and editor. In 1988, Chien founded the Sunnygate Photography Gallery to exhibit the works of the senior photographers, such as Teng, Nan-Kuang, Chang, Tsai, and Lin,Shou-I. Chien founded the Sunnygate Phototimes in 1998 to do research and digital collection of representative Taiwanese photographer’s works and promote the exhibition and publishing. In 2013, with the own brand, “Insight, Taiwan”, Chien has been getting supports from National Culture and Arts Foundation and organizing the essence of Taiwan photography culture. till now. In 2017, Chien was invited to teach in the Department of Culture Vocation Development in National Taipei University of Technology as an associate professor. With the concept of “Digital Classics”, Chien has open a path for contemporary photography and a more literary perspective and devoted into the education and creation of classic photography crafts.
