蔡宗勳，現在工作及生活於台灣台北。我的創作聚焦於地方之間的經驗，以距離產生的不確定性回應「地方」這個概念，透過不同地方的故事、材料、空間特性或地理條件進行組織，以多種關於此地的敘事去描述它，在一種想像空間的方法中實踐。

地方，這是一個對我來說模糊的概念，許多時候我可以在兩個完全不同的地點，有著相似的感受，讓人誤以為正在接近這個地方，或是這個空間；在近幾年的作品中，我多以現地製作的方式作為方法，嘗試在空間中創造地方的感受，選擇關於此地的材料，材料的文化記憶像是歷史的片斷，我依循材料的路徑組織敘事的邏輯，在空間中搭建通道，連結地方，找尋那個相似的感受。

Tsai Tsung-Hsun currently lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan. My creative work focuses on the experiences between places, responding to the concept of "place" through the uncertainties generated by distance. By organizing stories, materials, spatial characteristics, or geographical conditions from different places, I aim to describe them through multiple narratives, practicing within a methodology of imagined spatiality.
Place is a concept that feels ambiguous to me. Often, I find myself experiencing similar sensations in two completely different locations, creating the illusion of being close to a particular place or space. In recent years, I have used site-specific methods in my works, attempting to create a sense of place within space. I select materials tied to the location, whose cultural memories act as fragments of history. Following the traces of the materials, I construct a narrative logic, building pathways within the space to connect places and search for that shared, familiar sensation.
